This was a critical first step as we were designing an internal service documentation system. I’ve always found him to openly engage in problem solving and work to deliver a valuable solution focused on what the end user needed to document and provide for our services. He enhanced IT to center on the day-to-day mission of our organization. Although budget constraints hadn’t always allowed the field to get all the solutions we wanted, he was honest in the constraints and worked to be creative to achieve value. I had the opportunity to learn and grow professionally both from one-on-one conversations and seeing Jeffrey in action. I saw Jeffrey's leadership style as a balance between leading by example - never being afraid to roll up his sleeves and dig in to help solve a problem - and facilitating communication to ensure that senior business leaders agree on solutions and the IT organization understands clearly the problem to be solved. Just as importantly, Jeffrey was always thinking about ways to improve both the IT organization and the business and consistently encouraged everyone to think creatively and take risks to solve problems. Jeffrey's management style is to give clear direction but mostly stay hands off and let's the team apply their expertise and execute. Of course, he's always willing jump in to offer help or guidance where needed. Jeffrey is also a senior leader who actively solicits regular feedback and input from his team and his peers both on the content of work product and his own performance. Working with Jeffrey at The MENTOR Network was a pleasure and I hope that our professional paths will cross at some point in the future and we'll get a chance to work together again.
